Helder Pinto, the creator and lead developer behind Europa, announced that Europa will be delayed from its planned April 16 release date to Summer. A firm release date has not been shared. A post shared to their Steam shared, “This was a very hard decision and came after a lot of discussion between myself and the rest of the team. Europa began as a side project I created alone, and in the years since it has grown more than I ever could have dreamed, though we are still working in the evenings and weekends around our day jobs.”
This is pretty disheartening to hear, considering one would assume that indie developers get to focus on their creations full-time, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Regardless, it’s awesome to see this developer’s determination to finish their project by any means possible, which is likely echoed by many other developers around.
