A Hyderabadi businessman’s obsession with a TV anchor leads to his kidnapping.Track his movements using a car tracking device

The woman hired four people to kidnap Anker and also installed a tracking device on the victim’s car to monitor his movements.

A businessman has been arrested by police on suspicion of stalking and kidnapping for the purpose of marrying a TV music channel anchor. The 31-year-old woman, who runs a digital marketing business, had taken the extreme step of installing a tracking device in her car to track Caster’s movements. The woman became obsessed with Anker two years ago when she found a photo of him on her matrimonial site. She started a conversation believing he was the account owner, but she later realized that her photo had been used fraudulently. Further her investigation led her to obtain the anchor’s phone number.

When she tried to contact Anker, she was shocked to learn that someone was impersonating him on a matrimonial website. After coming to know about this, the victim, Pranav, who is an engineer and works part-time as an anchor for a Telugu television channel, filed a complaint with the cyber crime police.

However, the woman, identified as Trisha, continued to send messages to the anchor. He then blocked her number, police said. “The woman decided to marry Anker and planned to kidnap her, thinking she could resolve the situation,” police said in a statement.

So she hired four people to kidnap Anker and also installed a tracking device on the victim’s car to monitor his movements.

On February 11, four hired men kidnapped the victim, took her to the woman’s office and severely beat her. Fearing for her life, the TV anchor agreed to respond to the woman’s call, but was later released.

He then filed a complaint at Uppal police station and a case was registered under sections 363 (kidnapping), 341 (wrongful restraint), 342 (wrongful confinement) and related sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

During the investigation, police arrested the female suspect along with four men she hired to carry out the kidnapping.
