Did you know some games actually make it out of Early Access? Hard to believe, I know. But it’s true.
Here are three games that have finally made it out of EA and onto their 1.0 releases.
Hellcard
Hellcard is a deck-building co-op rogue-lite that allows players to pick three heroes from four different classes. Each level is procedurally peppered with enemies and bosses that you’ll need to defeat on your turn, playing specific cards.
While the game is also playable in single-player, it has been widely praised for its co-op mode, allowing up to two other friends to join you in your battle to defeat the Archdemon.
The game spent just under a year in Early Access before taking its one giant leap for deckbuilding kind. The full release brings with it the fourth class, Tinkerer, and over 100 new cards, making for even more chaotic deck-building fun.
It’s currently on special on Steam for R102.70
Moonbreaker
Moonbreaker brings miniature tabletop gaming to life by allowing gamers to paint up their own miniature army and then ram them, sword first, into a gruelling boss-fight gauntlet.
After spending just over a year in Early Access, Unknown Worlds Entertainment thinks it’s finally ready to break through its lunar atmosphere. The 1.0 release adds three new captains to choose from to head up your army, as well as twelve new units that can be added to your crew. It also updates the painting UI, allowing you to get more creative with the painting and customising your miniatures. With features like zoom, masking and undo, which you can’t easily access in real life.
The game is running a 25% discount on Steam to celebrate its full launch until the 8th of February.
Satisfactory
Satisfactory is the widely popular, first-person factory-building game with splashes of exploration and combat, amassing over five and a half million sales across its five-year Early Acess lifespan.
Now, sometime in 2024, the game will officially be “feature complete” and ready for its 1.0 launch.
As the game hasn’t officially hit 1.0 just yet, Coffee Stain hasn’t announced everything that will come along with a feature complete package, but Snutt Treptow does mention dedicated servers, lasers that are pretty laser and everything else, including the kitchen sink.
He also announced that closed beta sign-ups are open right now, and if you’d like to be one of the few that gets to try the game out before it launches, you can sign up for that here.
The game is available on both Steam and Epic for R270, although it might go up a little once it finally drops its Early Access tag.
