Julia Mixter has been appointed executive director of business services at Anchor, the UK’s largest not-for-profit provider of housing and care for older people.
She replaces Kate Smith, who left Anchor after five years to become chief executive of Connexus, a housing association based in Shropshire and Herefordshire.
Mr Mixter has been transformation director at Raven Housing Trust for more than five years and will start his role at Anchor from 13 May.
In previous roles, Mixter led business transformation programs to better serve customers, increase cost performance, and reduce operational risk and waste.

She has 20 years’ experience in senior human resources roles and previously served as Human Resources Director at the Royal Automobile Club.
Mixter was also Director of Human Resources and Operations at Tadworth Children’s Trust and Senior HR Business Partner at Transport for London.
