Former CNN anchor John Abron has announced his candidacy to replace New York’s 1st Congressional District seat.
Avlon announced his departure from CNN in early February after 14 years as an anchor and senior political analyst. He announced early Wednesday morning that he was running in the battleground state of New York to “defeat Donald Trump” and save democracy.
