Our galaxy can be very dark, but have you ever wondered how dark it is? True Crime Planetarium answers that question and many more. As we travel through the solar system, we discuss some of the most infamous crimes related to space. Learn about the strange deaths of ancient astronomers such as Socrates and Hypatia of Alexandria, the cult that worshiped Hale’s Bopp comet in 1997, and numerous stories of astronauts’ bad behavior. Adultery, sorcery, and the heist of a moonstone are just the beginning as you spend a mysterious and murderous night under the stars. Must be 21 years or older.
Our planetarium is an inflatable dome. Guests sit on cushions on the planetarium floor and watch the show. Due to space constraints, she can only accommodate 25 people at a time. For this reason, we highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance. On show nights, please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled show. For no-shows/late shows: Reserved spots will be released at show time to make room for the next party.
Shows begin at 6pm and 7pm and last approximately 45 minutes.
Seating is limited. This is a first-come, first-served event, so we recommend purchasing tickets in advance. Purchase tickets by calling 850-664-1261, stopping by the Science Center, or using our online ticketing options.
