towards the end music soundsthe von Trapp family singers are called on stage to receive the first prize at the Salzburg Festival.
free!, the orchestra plays triumphantly. there is nothing. A lonely spotlight that doesn’t illuminate anything. free! The orchestra repeats with anticipation. Nothing yet. We soon learn that the family has fled the festival to escape the web of Nazism that besieges Austria.
In an eerily similar act of disappearance, journalism has abandoned the American stage, leaving a bright, naked spotlight in which to examine our most pressing scandals and tragedies.
Just when our republic needed it most, journalism left us. And it is the most catastrophic institutional failure since the Civil War. The country was able to survive the financial collapse caused by the Great Depression. This crash may not be the case.
It’s only a part, but free! Moments when journalism failed to shine a lasting spotlight:
- Hillary Clinton’s magical escape from criminal charges for stuffing her personal server with classified materials and classified government business
- Her and the intelligence community’s scandalous espionage efforts against the president’s rivals
- Russia hoax/Mueller sham investigation, deliberate and intentional attempt to frame Donald Trump for something.
- 51 intelligence officials helped hide Hunter Biden’s laptop
- Unexplained fraud in the 2020 election
- The possible role of intelligence agencies in the January 6th “riot” and their bizarre failure to stop it
- Suddenly, Donald Trump was dubiously labeled “Public Enemy No. 1” and indicted across the country on all sorts of criminal charges.
- determined and deliberate organization of cross-border aggression (“planning or coordinating the elements of a situation to produce a desired effect, especially in secret)”
The historic border attack alone required civilian biologist Bret Weinstein to investigate what was going on at the source. It is the inaccessible Darien Gorge, which even the Pan-American Highway dares not enter.in extensive interview Weinstein, along with Tucker Carlson, detailed what they witnessed during their visit there. This is something that almost no American journalist has bothered to do.
At one immigrant preparation camp, Weinstein freely mingled with friendly and open-minded residents who were excited to talk about their perilous journey to the United States. And in another camp, to which she was not allowed, she met a surprisingly homogeneous cadre of young men. According to him, the Chinese were reluctant to talk about the reasons for their migration and were even hostile to the inquisitors.
“Those are the opposite of coming up. They’re not interested in talking to outsiders.” Mr. Weinstein told Mr. Carlson:. “I’ve been to places that are dangerous. I’ve been to places where people are afraid of the government and can’t talk to you because they don’t feel safe. This wasn’t like that at all. This felt like people not wanting to share information because it would be wrong to share it.”
Weinstein said that at one point outside the locked-down detention center, his colleagues tricked a person they believed to be a Korean immigrant into speaking Chinese.
“This is not a friendly migration,” Weinstein said ominously.
Where is the American media? Why do they show no curiosity at all about the dark motives that may lie behind the millions of people coming here in unprecedented numbers over the past three years?
And now, another bombshell report has emerged from outside traditional news media: “Multiple trusted sources” Prior to the 2016 election, former President Barack Obama’s CIA asked its CIA allies to spy on as many as 26 Trump staffers. He said it may have been an excuse to be a spy.
If true, this would be one of the biggest scandals in American history. But up until this point, the article has been greeted with a sleepy, hollow yawn from the media. As a result, Americans limited to consuming certain left-wing media may have never heard of the allegations or considered their credibility.
The abysmal and unfathomable indifference of the media has prevented those responsible for allegedly illegal and un-American espionage efforts from coming forward and sharing what they know and what they have done. This is becoming an increasingly urgent task.
The question is, will the media listen?
Indeed, the media can pay keen attention and provide targeted coverage when it fits a predetermined narrative. For example, when a Senate bill that essentially legalized illegal immigration was defeated; NBC News Headlines It was “Senate Republicans declare they’re going under the knife on bipartisan border security bill.”
They “knifeed” the legislative proposal as if the reporter or editor had been personally hurt by it. And as if Republicans committed murder.
If only the media cared that much actual It was a crime and we covered it sharply.
In another case where the media’s blind spots were exposed, The Hill reported, When the House’s first impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas failed, the 214-216 vote was a stunning defeat for Republicans who have faced constant pressure from the right to impeach senior Biden officials. “Even though the party is torn between who to impeach,” stay focused. ”
As if the MPs were just writhing around to lift someone’s fur. As if there were no legal, humanitarian, or national security crises at the border.
Indeed, the number and magnitude of blind spots in American journalism is clearly staggering and cannot be blamed on ignorance or laziness. There is no doubt that this is a deliberate distraction from certain topics and scandals in order to manipulate public opinion in favor of one political faction.
That’s not a journalist’s job. That is the propagandist’s prerogative. And it appears to be aimed at ushering the country into one-party rule. It is just history and no exaggeration that one-party states are almost always associated with communism, fascism, and authoritarianism.
Another characteristic of such states is that they imprison their political opponents.
but, free! There’s nothing to see here. The media has complete selective indifference to all of this.
They are just spotlights that illuminate nothing.
